Shelton Benjamin’s Epic In-Ring Comeback

Shelton Benjamin, a seasoned professional wrestling veteran, has often left fans with the impression that his full potential was not fully realized in his previous wrestling endeavors. Following his departure from WWE last year, Benjamin returned to the independent wrestling scene.

Ongoing discussions between Shelton Benjamin and AEW have been reported, exploring the possibility of his appearances for the company. While specific details regarding a potential contract or full-time deal remain unconfirmed, these discussions have been underway for some time.

The OPW Australian Stampede event took place on April 13 at Selkirk Stadium in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, featuring various wrestling matches and talent, providing fans in the region with thrilling action and entertainment.

Reports indicate that Shelton Benjamin made his in-ring return to the independent circuit at this event, facing off against Tommy Knight and emerging victorious.

Shelton Benjamin has also discussed the prospect of joining AEW.

Shelton stated ”Honestly, (Kazuchika) Okada, while I’ve worked alongside him in New Japan, we never actually had a match, so I would love to work with Okada. Obviously, I would love to work with Will Ospreay because I think that guy’s phenomenal. I’ve been watching him for years, and, you know, people call me athletic, but I mean, he does stuff that I couldn’t even — it would put me in traction to even try some of the moves he does, but I would love to work with him.”

Despite this, Benjamin seems poised to make the most of his time as a free agent.

Are you excited to see Shelton Benjamin continuing to excel in the independent circuit?
